STG has fought off stiff competition from leading
vendors to secure a major piece of work that will provide a
leading global logistics company with a site-to-site
replicated storage solution for disaster recovery purposes.
As part of the solution STG will also be carrying out the
upgrade of the company's VMware solution from VI3.5 to
vSphere 4.
STG have succesfully won a tender from a school in
North Yorkshire to provide virtualisation, shared storage and replicated
storage. The solution has been designed to allow the school to take initial
steps towards a completely virtualised infrastructure in addition to providing
a cross-campus replicated storage solution.
STG has secured a major piece of work for one of the UK's leading farming groups. The project, which will see the complete refresh of the IT infrastructure and will also see the introduction of virtualisation technologies, will
deliver a range of benefits that will allow the company to
offer more customer-facing services as well as provide a
completely updated user experience.

A college in North West England has contracted with
STG to supply an i365 Plug and Protect disk-to-disk
backup appliance. Offering incremental forever capability
the college will use the appliance to enhance its current
backup regime.

deployment of an additional VMware environment and storage
hardware.
STG is delighted to announce success in securing a
major project with a district council based in East Anglia.
The scope of the project covers the implementation of a
complete storage infrastructure using Nexsan iSeries iSCSI
SAN technology and VMware vSphere implementation expertise.
Nearly 40 physical servers will be virtualised onto 6 VMware
hosts and will deliver significant savings to the council
through reduced energy and maintenance costs.
STG has been selected to provide this dynamic and
innovative secondary school with their first shared storage solution. Using a
storage array from Nexsan and STG's implementation expertise the school will use
this solution to provide a platform on which to extend their virtualisation
strategy.

STG has won a major storage deal with one of the country’s leading utility companies. The deal, which covers the replacement of the company’s existing HP EVA SAN with Nexsan equipment, saw STG triumph over proposals from EMC, NetApp, HP and Hitachi Data Systems. The project will cover both primary and secondary storage systems and will use DATABeast technology from Nexsan.
